Kadavar - s/t

Posted by Captain Beyond Zen on Sunday, March 18, 2012

The first sensation of 2012 comes from Berlin. The trio KADAVAR released their self titled debut on This Charming Man Records, which is a brand new label from Muenster, Germany. This small but nice label works with Cargo Records & Green Hell Records as their distribution- and wholesale partners. The first vinyl press is nearly sold out, but fortunately the second press (green wax) is on its way. Good news for fans in the US - Tee Pee Records is proud to announce they will be releasing Kadavar's self titled record in the next few weeks.

Kadavar offer 70's occult rock at its finest and their debut catapults them into the top tier of the 70's vintage heavy psych occult rock on the same level as Orchid and Uncle Acid & the deadbeats. Kadavar draw from the plentiful fund of creative ideas from bands like Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Led Zeppelin and Witchfinder General. Don't make the mistake to take them for copy cats. Kadavar distill a strong brew of their own. Their label accurately described it: "You can’t reinvent the wheel, but you can roll it!"
Don't miss this highlight of the year! Kadavar will blow you away!

Thanks Ed for your kind words. Kadavar is the biggest surprise in 2012 so far and I have a feeling that 2012 could be 'their year'.
