Sleestak - Skylon Express [2010]

Posted by Captain Beyond Zen on Sunday, June 20, 2010

If you've got the time, we've got the music! Formed in late 2003 with ex-members of Sixinch, Atomic Number 9, and Planet Delirium, Sleestak have become one of the Midwest's most unique bands, gaining fans in the region and abroad with their metal/psychedelic fused Doom Rock. Sometimes labeled a "metal jam band", the band often delves into the bluesy realms of improvisation and embrace free-flowing instrumentals, taking the music into epic mind-altering depths. Through live demos and bootlegs over the past couple years, Sleestak has garnered radio play, media praise, and been positive comparisons to Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Clutch, Monster Magnet, Isis, Colour Haze, The Melvins, Ten Years After, and other groups that thrive on experimentation, originality, and heaviness.

Milwaukee's only Doom band Sleestak rulez! You can check out here how they rule. They put their new album ‘Skylon Express’ on their MySpace site for streaming. Sleestak. Doom that made Milwaukee famous. Experimental psychedelic Brewtown Doom brewed with the best ingredients! If you want the real stuff, then put your ear on Sleestak. Ice down the beer, slam the T-Bone on the B.B.Q. grill and put the volume on max!

It’s Sleestak time!
